| LIST OF
HOLDINGS IN LEA-FRANCIS OWNERS' CLUB LIBRARY As I hope members will know, following on the death of our former Club Librarian, Glen Ross, last year, the club's library was passed to me, and it is now shared between myself and my fellow Registrar, Colin Poynter. Each of us is in charge of the holdings relating to the cars in the respective registers we keep. Below is a description of what we hold, and it is all available for the use of members! Please feel free to make use of your Club Library. This is what we have: Index of known published articles, listed in alphabetical order of publication (Autocar, Motor Sport, Automotor Journal, Light Car & Cyclecar, national newspapers, various smaller motoring publications; plus catalogues. The index shows whether we own a copy, and its condition. Most, but not all, publications are to be found in the library; these articles are held by the two respective Registrars of the cars concerned. Index of Technical drawings: this is a list of the microfilm slides of the technical drawings relating to all factory-produced items for the post-war cars, 1946 - 1952. The post-1937 registrar keeps the slides for use by members, and by consulting the list I tell members whether I have the particular drawing they need. Sales brochures and catalogues of most models, including specifications (mostly originals). These are also held by the two registrars for the appropriate models. We also have a brochure, undated, from after the cessation of car production, called "Precision and Production Engineers: a "complete service" by Lea-Francis, Sub-contractors to the Engineering Industry". A small selection of factory photographs, correspondence and pictures of former members' cars. Some factory mementoes, programmes of events at the
Works, and a copy of an Apprenticeship Agreement dated 1944., as well as
press cuttings from the local Coventry press mentioning the factory and
staff. We have a copy of the reminiscences of former employee Maurice
Rattigan.
