About this Website

It is the result of a combined effort between Club Secretary Robin Sawers, who supplied most of the pictures and text, and Club Member David Berger, who designed the website and put it all together using Microsoft Front Page.

The creation of the Club's website is notable as it was a truly transatlantic venture with Robin Sawers in Long Wittenham, Oxfordshire, and David Berger in Beverly Hills California. Numerous email messages back and forth across the ocean resulted in the creation of the website without Robin or David ever exchanging a spoken word!

The 8-hour transatlantic time difference definitely worked in our favour. Robin would work well into the wee small hours of the morning painstakingly emailing photographs, text revisions and updates to David. These arrived in the early evening in Beverly Hills, allowing David to implement those changes in time for Robin to review them over breakfast.

There is so much to say about Lea-Francis and the Club that it is impossible to put it all in one place, and the links on the left are designed to organize the material in a logical manner.

While every page has a purpose, be sure to click on the "History of LFOC" link to see and read a little of the Club's origins and development.

The "L-F Vehicles" link will take you to a page where there are links to photographs and brief descriptions of Lea-Francis vehicles, nearly all owned by Club members.

Much of the content on this website was drawn from the Club's Jubilee Book as well as Club and factory records. Every effort has been made to be as accurate as possible, however, it is always possible that corrections will be needed.
