As part of the celebrations on the Saturday morning we are going to meet at Coventry Transport Museum (Millennium Place, Hales St, Coventry CV1 1JD) where we will park our cars on display outside the museum on Millennium Place.
After perusing the museum, there will be a specially organised road run, with instructions and things to spot along the way that will take you back to the Holt Hotel in time for our AGM and club dinner on the Saturday evening. Entry to the museum is going to be paid by the club and tables reserved in the café. I will also need to sort logistics for the road run and parking outside the museum, so I will need to know who is coming along; please contact Tom via the Events email if you are attending this part of the weekend.
On the Sunday, we will have our Annual Rally meet at Broughton Castle near Banbury, postcode OX15 5EB. This will be in a similar format to previous years with jazz band, period dress, awards, prizes, driving tests, judging, regalia, cakes, tea, and coffee! So, if you haven’t been before, this year’s weekend, the 70th Anniversary of the LFOC, is a great chance to come join the fun!
Oh, and if you were privileged enough to win one of the club’s annual trophies, don’t forget to make sure it’s engraved and bring it along to this year’s event (or get it posted to me).
I do hope to see as many of you as possible to celebrate the club’s 70th year. Let’s hope for a good summer of motoring!
See you in June, Tom (Competition Secretary)
